The design of this study was based on an established systematic methodology: grounded theory procedures [27]. Grounded theory uses a methodically applied set of processes to generate rather than test theory [28]. According to grounded theory procedures, questions are asked in an ‘open’ way: participants’ points of view are sought at commencement rather than questions being asked to examine pre-existing hypothesis or theories [27, 28]. Accordingly, we sought to learn from participants how the process of becoming a regular user of TMP happened and how they made sense of it.
